All the information concerning DVD releases can be found in the
DVD News section. I currently have no information relative
to other releases than those I mention on the website.
There has been a misinformation online as many websites showed that the DVD would contain
audition tapes and other extras. However, those were not even mentioned in the original press
releases. Therefore, there were not supposed to be on the DVDs. I personnally
advertised those special features on the website without knowing they were wrong and want
to apologize for any inconvenience I may have caused. Let's hope these extras are real and
will be part of a future release!
Using this example:
115. 5-12 #516 January 22, 2003 Misty Mountain Hop
115. Since the very beginning, this is the 115th episode.
5-12 This is the 12th episode of the 5th season.
#516 This is the production number, meaning it was the 16th episode to be filmed during the 5th season.
The network sometimes airs the episodes in a different order than they were produced. This can happen
if they want a specific event to happen later (like episode
Grandma's Dead (1-23),
produced in 12th but aired 11 episodes later so that Grandma could have more storylines).
This also happens when a celebrity guest-stars and the network wants their appearance to air
during the sweeps period, to increase their ratings.
Yes.On January 17th, Fox officially announced the end of That '70s Show.

Regular Stars are most of the time under contract for a full season and their name appear
in the opening credits of the show.
Guest Stars usually appear in a specific number of episodes (sometimes over many seasons),
covering a specific story-arc concerning their character. Celebrities that make a major appearance
in a single episode are often credited as Special Guest Stars.
Co-stars generally only appear in one or a few episodes and have a minor role.
After seven seasons on the show,
Ashton Kutcher and
Topher Grace wanted to move on to other things and pursue their
movie careers.
Tina Pinciotti (
Amanda Fuller) was seen only once in episode
Eric's Burger Job (1-5). Her "mysterious" disappearance was mentioned in
the last scene of episode
Vanstock (2-6), in a soap-like ending:
Announcer: And whatever happened to Midge's daughter Tina?
[...] Confused? You won't be, after the next episode of That '70s Show!
Tanya Roberts, the actress portraying Midge Pinciotti, had to leave the show
to take care of a sick relative. The writers made her character leave Bob and move to California in episode
The Relapse (1) (4-6).
She came back to Point Place to see her daughter in episode
The Seeker (6-25) and then
appeared in a few episodes of Season 7.
In 2003, the actor behind Leo,
Tommy Chong, who was selling bongs on Internet
has seen his online business shut down by the authorities. He then got arrested and was sentenced,
in September 2003, to nine months in federal prison. As for Leo, his cousin Eli told us in episode
The Battle of Evermore (5-17) that he had gone out of town.
Leo found his way back home in episode
Down The Road Apiece (7-17). He made an
appearance in the 7th season finale and is back as a regular for Season 8.
During the third season,
Lisa Robin Kelly left the show. Rumors say she was fired due to drug use.
Two years later, she guest-starred in five episodes. For Season 6, she was offered to appear in 13 episodes
and have her name reinserted in the opening, making her a regular star again. She filmed the first episodes
but was then replaced by actress
Christina Moore. Thus, then had to re-tape
the scenes to keep consistency.
Fox announced that it was a "mutual agreement" between them. During a taping, a fan asked what happened
to her and
Wilmer Valderrama said that she wanted to do other things.
Finally, Kelly's agent told the press that "Lisa has had problems, but she has been healthy for two years.
It was a mutual decision for her to leave the show. She wants to move on to other things."
"Fez" is an acronym for Foreign Exchange Student but it is spelled with a z instead of an s.
According to the characters, Fez's real name is too hard to pronounce or remember. That's why they simply
call him Fez. In
Class Picture (4-20), we see the first time Eric, Kelso and Hyde meet Fez.
When the boys ask him his name, his voice is muted by the bell ringing. He's actually pronouncing the names
of the cast.
Watch the clip:
Fez's Name
Fez's home country has always been a mystery. No one knows where he's from, not even the writers.
Don't try to guess with the clues Fez is telling in some episodes, they are more than often contradictory.
When music is used in an episode, the producers have to pay rights to the artist. When they edit the episode
for syndication or for the DVDs, they replace the music by generic music that costs less.
If the information is not present in the
Episode Guide, I don't know.
I recommend you to ask your question on the T7S Questions & Answers thread of
Fan Forum.
No, Point Place is a fictional suburb of Green Bay, Wisconsin. However, the other towns mentioned
in the show (like Kenosha) do exist.
