When Hyde picks up a girl during a guys-only bowling night, Eric gets upset. Donna likes Bob's new girlfriend but wishes she didn’t have to hear about their sex life. And everyone at church thinks Red’s responsible when Pastor Dave announces his resignation.

Eric suggests a guys’ night out, and the four guys go bowling, but when Hyde picks up a girl at the bowling alley, all bets are off. Joanne has dinner with Donna and Bob at the Pinciottis. Donna tells Bob that she likes Joanne, and she’s glad he has a friend. When Red invites Pastor Dave to a Celtics game on a Sunday, Kitty reminds Dave that he has church. Red suggests that he get a substitute, but Kitty is so disapproving that Dave says he’ll see them in church. Eric’s upset when Hyde gets ready to leave the bowling alley with Jill; they’ve made him feel like a third wheel, and Eric never did that to Hyde when he used to hang out with Eric and Donna. Hyde couldn’t care less. Jill’s parents are out of town, and they have a water-bed. Jackie gets annoyed at Kelso when it becomes clear that Rhonda knows more about what’s going on with the gang than she does. There’s an awkward moment when Donna catches Joanne sneaking out of the house very, very early in the morning. At church, Pastor Dave announces his resignation and thanks his friend Red Forman. When Eric finds Hyde making out with Jill in the Forman basement, he’s furious. He calls Jill “Yoko” and tells her to get lost. Eric complains to Donna that the guys night out was wrecked when Hyde picked up a girl, and Donna how weird and sick it was to have to hear about her dad’s sex life from his new girlfriend. Kitty tells Red that everyone at church is blaming them for Pastor Dave’s resignation. Jackie really flips out when she learns that Rhonda has a key to the Forman basement, while she does not. Donna tells Bob and Joanne that she’d really prefer that they lie to her about their sex life. Eric confronts Hyde about Jill, but Hyde says he’s been dumped. Hyde refused to give up his friendship with Eric just because Jill didn’t like him. Red convinces Pastor Dave not to resign. And when Eric tries to get Hyde and Jill back together, he finds out that Hyde did the dumping. He can’t go out with a girl who likes The Little River Band.
