Kelso demands money when Jackie smashes his van. Laurie's babysitting for a friend of Kitty's, and seeing a baby around the house makes Kitty think she might like to have another one. And Eric gets in trouble when he assumes Donna plans to be a stay-at-home mom when they have kids.
Kelso's not happy when he learns that Jackie has smashed up his van, but he's really upset when he learns that she used the van to drive her friend Chip and his band to a gig. Kelso decides that Jackie owes him money big time. Kitty arrives home with a friend's baby and reminds Laurie that she promised to babysit while Kitty and Red go to the Pinciotti's for fondue. Laurie isn't happy. Kitty's enchanted by the baby, but Red couldn't care less. Kitty observes that it might be nice to have a baby around the house again. Eric walks in while Donna is giving Laurie a little help with the baby. Eric thinks it's really cool that she's good with kids. Donna comments that it's not exactly brain surgery. Eric further observes that Donna will be great staying home with their kids, and she's not pleased. She imagines herself in a business suit arriving home while Eric's on the couch with a baby in each arm. Eric imagines Donna in the same outfit doing a strip. Donna imagines herself in Eric's fantasy, but instead she comes down a "stripper" pole, swings around and kicks Eric in the head. Donna calls Eric a jackass and storms out. Jackie and Kelso are fighting about money. Kelso won't back down; Jackie owes him a lot of money. There's a stalemate until Hyde reminds him that he burned Jackie's house. Later that evening Kitty tries to get Red to hold the baby, but he reminds her he didn't touch their kids so he's not touching this one. Eric and Donna are still bickering about Eric's wanting Donna to be a "baby machine." Eric lamely tries to talk his way out. Jackie isn't sure why Donna has a problem with this, but Hyde chimes in that a woman with a mind and spirit like Donna's has many more options than her mother had. When Eric tells Laurie about his fight with Donna, Laurie says maybe Donna just doesn't want to have his babies. Kelso's been doing some math and announces that Jackie owes him sixty-eight dollars. Jackie, on the other hand, has calculated that meals, concert tickets, leather goods and fire damage bring Kelso's tally to over eight thousand dollars. Kelso quickly says he forgives Jackie, but she demands he pay up. Kitty tells Red that maybe it would be nice if they had a baby; she only has a few years left to even have the option. Red says you don't have a baby just because you can. Then Kitty happily remembers that there are grandchildren in her future. Shortly afterward, Kitty asks Laurie if she thinks she would ever like a baby of her own. Laurie then alarms Kelso with her observation that the two of them would make cute babies. Midge tells Donna not to worry about what Eric said; they're so young that they might not end up together anyway. Donna suggests that she and Eric forget their debate and go for a drive. The truth is, she loves him.
