Who Wants It More

Original Airdate: January 10, 2001
Writers: Joshua Sternin, Jeffrey Ventimilia
Director: David Trainer
Eric and Donna try to withhold sex from each other, and each is determined not to be the one to cave in. Kelso tries to convince his friends that he's seen a U.F.O. And in an attempt to be more outgoing, Red throws a party.
Detailed Synopsis
Donna and Eric are working on a school paper together with a lot of breaks for fooling around. But when they disagree on the paper's content and Eric gets very condescending, Donna tells him there'll be no more "study breaks." Eric can't believe she'd hold out on him just because he disagrees with her. He thinks about it and announces that, in fact, he's cutting her off. Eric will cave, says Donna, and then she'll laugh. When Red has a near miss with a tree that Bob's cutting down, he fantasizes that if there were a funeral for him, nobody would come. He realizes that if he's ever going to have any friends, he'll probably have to do some changing. Eric confides in Hyde, while Donna talks to Jackie, and each friend advises not to cave in. Kelso's convinced that he's just seen a U.F.O. (he even photographed it), but his friends give him nothing but grief. Red tells Kitty it would be fun to have their friends over for a party. Kitty's never heard Red use "fun," "friends" and "party" all in the same sentence. Eric and Donna get together to work on their report and have trouble keeping their hands off each other, but each is determined to win. Leo joins Hyde, Kelso and Fez as they're lying in a field looking at the night sky. Leo says he saw a U.F.O. at a football game. It hung in the air and sent him a message, Good year. At the party, Red's trying to behave, but he keeps slipping into his typical cranky behavior. He tells Kitty that life's too short to be with anybody he doesn't love. That means just about anybody except Kitty. Leo tells Kelso that his U.F.O. pictures came out fine, but far more interesting are the naked pictures that Kelso took of himself. And Donna starts to give in until Eric crows that he can't believe she's the one who caved. Everything stops. Eric protests that they've reached the point of no return, but Donna reminds him that that doesn't apply to girls. Eric now has no choice but to be the one who gives in.
