Kelso's in hot water when he plans a trip to 'Vanstock' and both Laurie and Jackie want to come. Donna catches Kelso making out with Laurie and demands an explanation from Eric. And Kitty decides it's time for Red to go back to work when he starts spending every day watching soap operas.

Kelso's planning a trip to Vanstock (like Woodstock but with an emphasis on vans), and, since Jackie doesn't want to come, he's taking Laurie. Donna's happy that Eric's zipped their sleeping bags together into a "king-size bag o' love." But Kelso's not happy that Eric insists on bringing Donna, because he's afraid of being busted, and it happens almost immediately; Donna sees him making out with Laurie and asks Eric what's going on. Eric claims he knows nothing about it. Red's spending most of his time sitting around the house watching soap operas with Midge; he isn't thrilled when Kitty tells him they're going to a big banquet at the hospital. Jackie shows up at the last minute saying she's going to Vanstock too; Hyde adds fuel to the fire by suggesting that Jackie hide in the back of the van and surprise Kelso. When Kelso sees Jackie he nearly drives off the road. Donna asks Eric and Fez what they should do about Kelso and Laurie, but Eric insists it will all blow over and it they shouldn't let it ruin their Vanstock experience. Hyde continues to fan the flames by suggesting that Laurie and Jackie get to know each other better, because they have so much in common. Vanstock is filled with mud, beer, and half-naked girls, and the guys love it. At the hospital banquet, Red finds that he has more in common with the wives than with the doctors he meets, and he soon finds himself discussing his new favorite subject, soap operas. Eric and Donna are in the sleeping bag when he confesses that he actually did know that Kelso was cheating. Donna's furious and takes off; she finds Hyde who tells her she's the only one who didn't know about Kelso. Hyde says he's laying traps like crazy but he wouldn't rat on his friend; Eric would have been a rat too, Hyde says, if he had told Donna. Hyde tells Donna to give Eric a break; Eric does everything for her and she isn't even sleeping with him. Donna realizes he's right, and she thanks Hyde. Kelso tries to get in the van to go to sleep, but Laurie and Jackie are having a little girl talk with Fez listening in, and they tell him to get lost. Eric and Donna start making out in their sleeping bag when Kelso climbs in and announces that he'll be joining them for the night.
