Donna and Eric are extremely nervous about their plans to go to a drive-in movie together. The Erdmans, Fez's host family, want him to stop listening to rock music which they think is evil. Kitty takes a quiz in Cosmo and learns that there's no spontaneity in her marriage.
Kelso tells Eric that "The Omen" is playing at the drive-in; he should take Donna, and he'll be in "make-out city." Eric hesitates, but, at Hyde's insistence, he says he'll go. Kitty takes a quiz in Cosmo and learns that there's no spontaneity in her relationship with Red; after much discussion, a disgruntled Red surprises Kitty with an invitation to dinner at The Lion's Head. Fez's host family, the Erdman's, insist that he stop listening to that evil rock music; to illustrate their point, they play a Kiss album backwards and claim that they hear Satanist lyrics. Donna accepts Eric's invitation to the drive-in, but later asks Jackie and Kelso to come along; she doesn't want the pressure of being expected to make out with Eric for the first time in a public place. Red and Kitty arrive at The Lion's Head, only to find that it has been replaced by a Blanigan's. Red, in a huff, insists that they leave when they find they have to make their own salad at something called a "salad bar." Jackie forces Kelso to go to the movies with Eric and Donna but is no help to Donna at all since she spends the entire time making out; Eric and Donna are so uncomfortable that they decide to get out of the car. Hyde shows Fez that he can sneak "the devil's music" past the Erdman's simply by using headphones. On the hood of the Vista Cruiser, Eric and Donna kiss for a few minutes until horns start honking and headlights begin to flash. Kitty and Red park in lovers' lane and make out like teenagers.
